With the success of preparing
the SOLAS (Safety Of Life At Sea) Training Manuals for
Cunard, notably the MV Queen Victoria, Orchid have now
completed the update of the SOLAS Training Manuals for
Queen Mary II and the entire Princess Cruises fleet,
some 17 ships in all. In addition to this is the manual
for the brand new MV Ruby Princess that left her Italian
yard on 23rd October 2008.

Harvie were able to visit the Ruby Princess at the yard
in early October to document the location and types
of safety equipment installed on this new state of the
art cruise ship. Ruby Princess heads across the pond
to Fort Lauderdale before her first cruising season
in the Mediterranean.
Orchid are delivering both English and
Spanish versions of these important manuals. Colour
printed manuals are being provided for use on the ship
as well as a special web based document download area
that enables any Princess ship to download the latest
version of their ‘ship specific’ manual,
anywhere in the world.
