Orchid have successfully completed a series of 90, full colour, bespoke 3D technical illustrations to illustrate the equipment and methods used in the fishing industry. The illustrations were required for industry support to provide guidance, training and information for numerous fishing activities.

Orchid was successfully selected by a representative of the leading seafood authority.

Orchid’s technical documentation background, in depth understanding of complex mechanical parts and representing these visually in a clear, concise and easy to interpret manor were the key factors in Orchid being awarded the project.

The scope of work called for absolute consistency between all 90 of the full colour illustrations and to achieve this Orchid were able to dedicate a senior illustrator, who himself has over 20 years of commercial design experience, to the project which enabled a close working relationship to be built up and for all illustrations to be in a consistent agreed style.

Each illustration makes up part of a series, all of which will be bound together as A4 colour drawings and used to provide guidance and training to fisherman and other end users on the correct use of equipment in terms of both safety and the relevant fishing activity, e.g. trawling.
In addition to this, the illustrations will also be used as part of promotional material such as exhibition displays, brochures and seminar slides.
